Eli Haski’s perspective in life and interests

I am a positive and open person, seeing the goodness and wonder in all things. I strive to always find the positive in every situation and embrace the differences within us all. As an artist I love to create and marvel in the beauty of nature, rejoicing in the simple pleasures of colour, texture and smells abundant in our natural world. As a mother of 2 very active boys I am kept in awe of human nature and the way we grow into individuals. They keep me on my toes but remind me of what’s important in life, to love and to breath. I love dance and fitness and work hard to shape my body and my life to find balance and harmony. And I am a realist, I understand that life is not so simple and despite our best intentions turmoil and drama can come up, but in these moments we can grow and respond with wisdom and dignity.

Training and major influences

I came to the fitness industry through my own weight loss journey. I have a cert III and IV in fitness and currently work as a group trainer specialising in older adults, people with limited mobility, mental illness, other illnesses and chronic pain. I have a dance background and teach and choreograph a dance fitness program. I have recently completed my training in Specialise Kinesiolgy a form of energy psychology, which combines chiropractic muscle testing techniques with Chinese meridian 5-element theory.

I discovered Yoga more recently, but have found it a major influence in my life. Yoga has given me a way to connect to my spiritual side and a way to centre my soul and feel energetically revitalised. I am passionate about sharing my love for Yoga with my students and creating a space where we can share in the vitality Yoga provides. I am a qualified pre and post-natal yoga teacher and love this part of my teaching. I feel so honoured to be sharing this time with my students. I the love the energy, atmosphere of these classes and sharing to tool that yoga can provide to have a joyful and connected birthing experience.

Eli Haski’s style of teaching

My teaching style is strong and centring. My classes have a flow and a theme to help individuals nurture and develop a practice they can embrace and find growth within. I endeavour to create a safe and supportive space for participants to explore and connect with their body and breathe. I always strive to ensure my participants feel comfortable in their practice and have worked to in a safe manner, allowing them the room and security to achieve their personal practice goals.

Most recent inspiring experience

My Yoga Teacher Training with Trinity Yoga was highly transformative. I gained so much more than just yoga teacher training. I gained a connection and a love of yoga deeper than I had previously experienced. I found a home for my spiritual connection with the universe and a way of understanding how I already viewed the world, finding unity and connection with my fellow instructors. I found a way of truly accepting myself and treating myself with Metta, allowing me to face challenges in a more open and accepting way.

Since then I try to find inspiration on a daily level. I take time to notice the things around me and the small wonders that present frequently and I look for inspiration within myself, through my work or my children or my own practice.
