Monica Anderson - Vinyasa Hatha Yoga Teacher



Monica is the director of Canberra Yoga Space and

Certified with Yoga Australia as an Intermediate Member (Registered Level 2 Teacher, TT 500 hours), Monica is passionate about personal development, and the role yoga and meditation play in increasing the vibration of the collective consciousness. Canberra Yoga Space and share this vision – which is to provide an avenue to support people to be the creative beings they are.

Monica is a certified Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher through Ana Davis (Bliss Baby Yoga Byron Bay). Having taught classes, workshops and retreats in Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Monica specialises in teaching dynamic Vinyasa Hatha and Restorative Yoga, to beginners and experienced practitioners, with the primary focus of supporting individuals to have a more refined awareness and understanding of their true nature, and awakening/ strengthening one’s innate capacity to take ownership over one’s health and well-being .

Monica left a corporate legal career in 2005, to begin aligning her life with her true nature, creating a life she truly wanted. Monica has been practising yoga since 2002, and teaching since 2007.

Monica’s approach is inspired by working/ having worked directly with – Danielle Dolev (Yoga Synergy, Vinyasa Hatha), Yuki Nakazawa (Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga), Rod Stennard (Iyengar Yoga), Katie Manitsas (Jivamukti Yoga), Eve Grzybowski (Iyengar Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal Yoga), John Norris (Iyengar Yoga, Restorative Yoga), Ana Davis (Pre and Post Natal Yoga), Donna Farhi (Restorative Yoga), Paul Frechtling (Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga), and Scott Washington (Self-Mastery and Intuition).  And all the teachers on
