We had an amazing time with James Bryan from Knoff Yoga last weekend (14-16 July). It was a privilege to explore yoga poses and spirituality with someone who has mastered their craft and studied alongside two of the yoga masters, Pattabhi Jois and B.K.S. lyengar. I found the experience challenging, creative, fun and truly inspiring. Read what some of the other participants had to say —
“Thank you so much for inviting James to Canberra! I really enjoyed the weekend, I found it interesting, challenging and fun! I’d be keen for more workshops with Knoff yoga and I hope James (and Nicky) would come back to your lovely studio.” – Elaine
“I would like to say thank you for organising a workshop with James. It was very beneficial for me. I learned some new poses and I felt great after our practise. I pay a lot of attention to the physical practise because of my issues. I was surprised with myself during yoga class with James, how strong and flexible I became just doing my routine. Most importantly, I had no pain. ” – Elena
“Just wanted to send a personal note to thank you for inviting James Bryan to the studio for the masterclass this past weekend. My partner and I got so much out of it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I remember your initial email (about the workshop) which mentioned the huge opportunity this presented, in particular, learning from someone who’s actually studied and learnt from the yoga masters. Since then, it’s stuck with me and at the same time, it has planted a seed within me to consider this opportunity and whether or not I might become a yoga teacher. To be honest, I never really thought I would be a teacher. But more and more, it’s something that has started to excite me and would love to share with and help others.” – Fiona
“Firstly I wanted to say thank you so much for inviting James to the studio, he was a fantastic and inspiring teacher and I can’t wait to see him here again.” – Claire
KNOFF Yoga Teacher Training at CYS
We are very pleased to announce that CYS will be offering Knoff Yoga Teacher Training (James Bryan/Nicky Knoff) in early 2018. This is the 200-Hour Teacher Training Course, which will cover both the Discovery Course, and the Foundation Course. This is premium quality teacher training, second to none in the world. An intensive and transformative experience, this course requires 8 hours a day in the total period of a month — and hence, we are currently mapping out the best format and length of time to introduce this course. We will be consulting you (the student community) shortly – as we wish to make this amazing training available and feasible for as many people as possible. So stay tuned.
Important to note:
Most people may think that teacher training courses are only for those who wish to teach yoga. When in fact, it is not. The potential for personal growth and transformation a course such as this (Knoff Teacher Training) offers, is relevant to anyone interested in evolving into the best and highest version of themselves, whether or not you intend to use the experience to teach thereafter. If you are a practitioner of yoga, and you wish to further explore your journey not only in asana, but more importantly in spirituality, consciousness and self-mastery – this course is a highly potent experience, which is relevant to you.
For teachers – if you are a yoga teacher certified in your 200-hour TT, that last course you did was the beginning of the journey ahead of you. You will find that advanced experienced teachers have done at least 2-3 teacher training courses, after their first teacher training. Sadly, the industry is plagued with a predominance of sub-standard teacher-training. If you feel you need further training, and you wish to learn from advanced yoga practitioner-teachers who have not only mastered their own craft, but have also trained extensively with the yoga masters in India (now deceased), this is your opportunity to get that one solid course under your belt.
What you need to do
If you are interested in this course, send us an email expressing your interest. Depending on our survey, the whole of part of the course will be delivered commencing January 2018. Stay posted for updates via our newsletter.
