Ashtanga Beginners Workshop Series is series of 4 workshops with Kat Sadler and Molly Pettit to familiarise you with Ashtanga Yoga, and provide you confidence practising this style of yoga.
It will introduce you to the sequence, breath work and safe postural alignment in majority of the poses in the Primary Series. To gain the maximum benefit in practising Ashtanga Yoga, it is beneficial to work on the foundation and safe execution of each pose, understand vinyasa (breath synchronised with body movement), cultivate techniques in activating the bandhas, and understand the process towards cultivating a meditative practice. These elements will be covered over the course of the four Saturday workshops.
When: Saturday 24 May 1-3pm, 31 May 1-3pm, 14 June 1-3pm and 21 June 1pm-3pm (Note: no workshop on the June long weekend – 7 June)
Cost: $150 for the four session.
