Yoga Courses

We offer a range of yoga courses including Beginners Yoga (including Advanced Beginners bridging course), Prenatal Yoga, Mums-N-Bubs Yoga, and Meditation. Our Beginners Yoga and Advanced Beginners bridging courses run for 6-weeks, while our Prenatal Yoga, Mums-N-Bubs Yoga and Mediation courses run in 10-week blocks as per the ACT school terms.

Please note that 10-class yoga pass, 14-day unlimited yoga pass and direct debit options are not valid for yoga & meditation courses. You will need to pay separately for these courses.

Beginners Yoga 6-week Course

The APRIL Beginners Course is CLOSED. Enrolments for the MAY 2018 course is OPEN – it starts on Monday 21 May and runs till Sunday 1 July 2018.

Class times: Mondays 6:15-7:30am, Tuesdays 12-1:15pm, Wednesdays 6:15-7:30am & 6:15-7:30pm, Thursdays 6-7:15pm, 2:30-3:45pm, Sundays 8:15-9:30am

Cost: Early bird of $99, full price of $130

Beginners Yoga Courses Canberra

Advanced Beginners Yoga Bridging Course

The NEW Advanced Beginners 6-Week Bridging Course is now OPEN – it starts on Monday 21 May and runs till Sunday 1 July 2018.

The Unlimited Deal for only $120 gives you access to the three course-classes on offer each week (up to 18 course-classes in total during the 6 weeks). Plus you are to attend up to two (2) drop-in/casual yoga classes of your choice, each week for these six weeks.

These three course classes are on one progressive syllabus. Layering over that is the offering of three traditional styles of yoga (Iyengar, Vinyasa Hatha, and Yoga Synergy). Each style has a different approach, but all are complementary and are founded on the same yoga foundations. From personal experience, practising in 2-3 traditional styles brings a richer dimension to your personal practise, and your journey in self awareness.

Wednesdays 7:40-8:50pm – Yoga Synergy approach with Pippa
Saturdays 7-8:15am – Iyengar Yoga approach with Jacqui
Sundays 1:30-2:45pm – Vinyasa Hatha approach with Jon & Bronwen

Two Drop-in Casual Classes a week
On top of the three Advanced Beginners Course Classes each week, as part of this course pack, you are to attend two drop-in casual classes (we recommend attending the Gentle to Moderate or General classes) of your choice, from our timetable. These two class passes allocated each week must be used up by the end of the week (Sunday). No make-up credits provided.

This is part of the course design to build up your confidence to be able to integrate into casual classes. As you attend these classes alongside your Advanced Beginner Courses, discuss any issues or aspects of practice you feel you need to refine, with your Advanced Beginners Course instructor. They will support you to refine your alignment, and also to discover modified poses or transition poses that will be optimal for your body – which you can then bring with you to any casual yoga class. Remember that what you are cultivating is a responsive yoga practise – responsive to your physiology and changing circumstances. Yoga is fundamentally about listening to your truth.

Course Cost: $120 for 6 weeks

Eligibility: You are eligible to attend the “Advanced Beginners 6-Week Bridging Course” if you have attended the CYS 6-Week Beginners Course at least twice; or have been a regular practitioner with CYS for at least 4 months.

Advanced Beginners Yoga Courses Canberra

Prenatal Yoga 10-week Course

Times: Mondays 7-8:30pm or Saturdays 10:15-11:45am
Cost: $165 for 10 classes or $20 per class

TERM 2 starts on Monday 30 April and runs to Saturday 7 July 2018

You can enrol at any time in our prenatal courses. If you enrol after the first week, we recommend that you enrol for 10 weeks, rather than pay $20 per class for the rest of the term. You can make-up up to two missed classes in a term – you can use it over the next term, or make it up on the other prenatal class that week (there’s a Monday evening and a Saturday morning class). The two credits can also be used post birth towards attending Mums-N-Bubs (Postnatal) Yoga 10-Week Course.

Time: Wednesdays 10-11:30am
Cost: $165 for 10 weeks or $20 per class

TERM 2 starts on Wednesday 2 May and runs to Wednesday 4 July 2018

You can enrol at any time in the Mums-N-Bubs course.

Meditation 10-week Course

Time: Fridays 6:30-7:45pm

Please note that all purchases are final, and payments for any purchase (classes, courses, workshops, and events) are non-refundable. To convert to a credit, you must let us know at least 24 hours before any workshop, class or event takes place if you will not be able to attend and want to keep payment as credit at the studio. Credits on your account can be used for future workshops, courses or classes.
