New Moon New Bloom

The quiet time has come to an end and we move into the busy month of October. I can’t help but feel the blooming of the season and be renewed by the warmer weather. I also feel the growth of our studio and community. I am so pleased that over winter so many of you kept up your practice and I hope you’re feeling the benefits of that.

For myself I have been able to move back into my personal practice. Some of you may have seen me as a student in class. As a teacher it can be very hard for us to maintain our own personal practice on top of teaching and busy lives. Quite often our personal practice slips away. So not only did I encourage you to maintain practice over the winter but I too found that internal fire to drive myself onto that mat and I feel renewed and rewarded for it.

We have so much on this month and I’m feeling excited and inspired. I feel like my time of learning how to run CYS has been well spent and I cannot believe that we are almost 1 year into my time as director and manager of this wonderful space. And so, to celebrate I will be hosting a party on the Sunday 24th November, details to come so please save the date, it will be between 11:30 – 3ish. I have some wonderful plans coming up for CYS and I can’t wait to share them with you all as they unfold.

We are blooming, we are growing, we are thriving and we are doing this together. It is our aim to provide a space for you to connect with yourself, to renew and create your best you. If we can meet some kindred spirits along the way, what a bonus!

I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new students and all our new Beginner students, we hope you are enjoying your classes and that you find the joy and value in your practice of Yoga.

We have a huge line up of events and guest teachers coming this month, keep reading below for details.

Maybe you are looking to earn extra money and could offer these massages. I have been wanting to do this training for years and am so glad I am finally doing it. We have a few spaces left so if you would like to join us please click this link. Training is 10th– 13thOctober.

Long Live a Healthy Appetite

Coming up on the 10th November Faye Levine will be delighting us with a yoga session and presentation on looking at food through a Yoga lens and building a strong and healthy relationship with food. Having struggled with food my whole life and been on every diet and eating regime under the sun, I am especially excited to be hosting Faye and gaining a better understanding and developing as healthier relationship with food. For more details or to book you place click this link.

Finally you will notice a few more crystal singing bowls arrive at the studio in the next few days. I have a passion for playing the bowls and the wonderful way vibration can balance the body, mind and spirit. I will be holding semi regular sound baths as well as playing them on Friday nights during meditation if students are keen for them. These bowls are specific note that relate to the 7 main chakras and can balance each one individually and when played together can help to cut the chatter of the mind and bring a sense of blissful harmony. If you have never experienced a sound bath before you wont want to miss out. It is a truly wonderful experience.

Wishing you all a wonderful October, looking forward to seeing you on the mat.
